## Account & Setup

    Sign up at [app.bigbrainape.com](https://app.bigbrainape.com) using your email address. After you submit the registration form, check your inbox for a verification email and click the confirmation link. Once your email is verified, connect your preferred wallet to start trading.

  <Accordion title="Is Big Brain Ape free to use?">
    Yes — Big Brain Ape offers a free plan that gives you access to core trading features and up to five price and volume alerts. If you need unlimited alerts and advanced analytics, upgrade to the **Pro plan**. Regardless of your plan, a **0.25% platform fee** applies to every trade you execute.

  <Accordion title="What countries are supported?">
    Big Brain Ape is available to users worldwide. However, access is not permitted in jurisdictions where cryptocurrency trading is prohibited by local law. It is your responsibility to ensure that your use of the platform complies with the regulations in your region.

## Trading & Wallets

    Big Brain Ape currently supports trading on four networks:

    * **Solana**
    * **Ethereum**

  <Accordion title="Which wallets can I connect?">
    You can connect any of the following wallets:

    * **MetaMask** — for Ethereum, Base, and Arbitrum
    * **Phantom** — for Solana (and EVM chains via Phantom's multi-chain support)
    * **WalletConnect** — for any WalletConnect-compatible wallet on EVM chains
    * **Coinbase Wallet** — for Ethereum, Base, and Arbitrum

    Make sure your wallet extension is installed and unlocked before connecting.

  <Accordion title="Does Big Brain Ape hold my funds?">
    No. Big Brain Ape is a **non-custodial platform**, which means your assets never leave your wallet. All trades are executed directly on-chain via your connected wallet, and Big Brain Ape never has access to or control over your funds.

  <Accordion title="What are the trading fees?">
    Every trade incurs a **0.25% platform fee** calculated on the trade value. In addition to the platform fee, you will pay the standard **network gas fee** for the chain you are trading on. Gas fees vary depending on network congestion and are set by the network itself, not by Big Brain Ape.

  <Accordion title="What is slippage tolerance?">
    Slippage tolerance is the maximum price movement you are willing to accept between the time you submit a trade and the time it is confirmed on-chain. If the price moves beyond your slippage tolerance, the transaction will revert to protect you from an unfavorable fill.

    The default slippage tolerance on Big Brain Ape is **0.5%**. You can adjust this in the trade settings panel before submitting any swap.

      For highly volatile or low-liquidity tokens, you may need to increase your slippage tolerance to 1–2% to get your trade through.

## Portfolio & Analytics

  <Accordion title="How is PnL calculated?">
    Your profit and loss (PnL) is broken into two components:

    * **Realized PnL** — the net gain or loss from trades you have already closed, calculated from the difference between your sell price and your average buy price.
    * **Unrealized PnL** — the gain or loss on your current holdings, calculated by comparing the current market price to your average buy price.

    Both figures are displayed on your Portfolio dashboard and update in real time as market prices change.

  <Accordion title="Can I track wallets I don't own?">
    Yes. You can add any public wallet address to Big Brain Ape in **watch mode**. Navigate to the Portfolio tab, select **Add Wallet**, and enter the public address. You will be able to view balances, trade history, and analytics for that address without needing to sign any transaction.

  <Accordion title="How do I export my trade history?">
    To download a CSV of your trade history:

    1. Open the **Portfolio** tab.
    2. Click **Trade History**.
    3. Select **Export**.
    4. Choose your desired date range.
    5. Click **Download CSV**.

    The exported file includes trade timestamps, token pairs, amounts, prices, fees, and PnL for every transaction in the selected period.

## Alerts

  <Accordion title="How many alerts can I set?">
    * **Free plan** — up to **5 active alerts** at any time.
    * **Pro plan** — **unlimited alerts** with no restrictions.

    You can set alerts based on price thresholds, percentage price changes, volume spikes, whale wallet movements, and portfolio value changes for any token on any supported network.

  <Accordion title="What notification channels are supported?">
    Big Brain Ape delivers alerts through three channels:

    * **In-app push notifications** — shown in the platform while you are logged in.
    * **Email** — sent to the address associated with your account.
    * **Telegram** — sent via [@BigBrainApeBot](https://t.me/BigBrainApeBot) after you link your Telegram account in your notification settings.

    You can enable or disable each channel independently for every alert you create.

## Security

  <Accordion title="Is my private key safe?">
    Yes. Big Brain Ape **never stores, transmits, or has access to your private keys**. All transaction signing happens locally inside your connected wallet (MetaMask, Phantom, etc.). Big Brain Ape only receives the signed transaction output to broadcast to the network.

      Always verify transaction details in your wallet before approving. Big Brain Ape will never ask you to share your seed phrase or private key.

  <Accordion title="What happens if I lose my 2FA device?">
    If you lose access to your two-factor authentication device, use one of the **backup codes** you were shown when you first enabled 2FA. Each backup code can be used once to log in.

    If you have lost both your 2FA device and your backup codes, contact our support team at [support@bigbrainape.com](mailto:support@bigbrainape.com) to begin the account recovery process. Be prepared to verify your identity before access is restored.

      Store your backup codes in a secure location — such as a password manager — as soon as you enable 2FA. They cannot be retrieved after the initial setup screen.

## Referrals

  <Accordion title="How does the referral program work?">
    Big Brain Ape runs a **3-level referral program** that rewards you a percentage of the trading fees generated by users you refer — and the users they refer in turn.

    Find your unique referral link in the **Referrals** section of your account dashboard.

  <Accordion title="When are referral rewards paid out?">
    Referral rewards **accumulate in real time** as your referred users trade. Your reward balance is visible at any time on your Referrals dashboard. You can **withdraw your accumulated rewards at any time** — there is no minimum threshold or waiting period.
