# Connecting and Managing Your Wallets on Big Brain Ape

> Learn how to connect, switch, and manage crypto wallets on Big Brain Ape across Solana and EVM-compatible networks, including multi-wallet support.

Your wallet is your identity on Big Brain Ape. Connecting one lets the platform read your on-chain balances, display your portfolio, and prepare transactions for you to sign. You can connect wallets from both the Solana and EVM ecosystems, and you can have more than one connected at the same time so you can manage all your holdings without switching tools.

  Never share your seed phrase or private key with anyone — including anyone claiming to represent Big Brain Ape. Our team will never ask for this information. If you are prompted to enter your seed phrase anywhere on the platform, treat it as a phishing attempt and leave the page immediately.

## Supported Wallets

Big Brain Ape supports the most widely used self-custody wallets across Solana and EVM-compatible networks.

If your preferred wallet supports WalletConnect, you can use it on Big Brain Ape even if it is not listed above.

## Connecting a Wallet

    Find the **Connect Wallet** button in the top-right corner of the Big Brain Ape dashboard and click it. A modal window opens showing the available wallet providers.

    Choose your wallet from the list. If you use a WalletConnect-compatible wallet that is not listed individually, select **WalletConnect** and scan the displayed QR code with your wallet app.

    Your wallet extension or app displays a connection request from Big Brain Ape. Review the permissions — this grants read access to your public address only — and click **Connect** or **Approve**.

    Once approved, your wallet address (truncated) and network badge appear in the navigation bar. Your token balances load automatically and your portfolio view updates within a few seconds.

## Multi-Wallet Support

You can connect multiple wallets to a single Big Brain Ape account at the same time. This is useful if you keep assets on separate wallets for different purposes — for example, a trading wallet on Solana and a long-term holding wallet on Ethereum.

To add a second wallet, open the wallet menu in the top bar and click **Add Wallet**, then follow the same connection steps. Once connected, all your wallets appear in the dropdown. Click any wallet address to make it the active wallet for trading and display purposes. Your portfolio view can aggregate balances across all connected wallets so you see your total holdings in one place.

To switch between wallets at any time, open the wallet menu and select the address you want to use.

## Disconnecting a Wallet

To disconnect a wallet, open the wallet menu in the top navigation bar and select **Manage Wallets**. Find the wallet you want to remove, click the options icon next to it, and choose **Disconnect**. The wallet is removed from your account immediately and Big Brain Ape will no longer have access to its address.

Disconnecting a wallet on Big Brain Ape does not affect the wallet itself in any way. Your assets remain in the wallet and you can reconnect at any time.

  Big Brain Ape is fully non-custodial. Your private keys are stored only in your wallet software and never transmitted to or stored on Big Brain Ape's servers. Disconnecting or closing the platform does not put your funds at risk.

## Wallet Security Best Practices

Keeping your wallet secure is your responsibility as a self-custody user. Follow these practices to reduce risk.

* **Use a hardware wallet** for large holdings. Hardware wallets like Ledger and Trezor sign transactions in an isolated environment and are compatible with MetaMask and WalletConnect, so you can use them with Big Brain Ape.
* **Enable 2FA on your Big Brain Ape account**. Even though your wallet keys never touch the platform, securing your account prevents unauthorized changes to your alerts, API keys, and connected wallet list. See [Two-Factor Authentication](/security/two-factor-auth) for setup instructions.
* **Verify transaction details before signing**. Always read what your wallet is asking you to sign. Big Brain Ape will only ever ask you to sign a swap, limit order, or wallet connection request — never a blanket token approval or custody transfer.
* **Check the URL**. Before connecting your wallet, confirm you are on the legitimate Big Brain Ape domain. Bookmark the site to avoid phishing pages.
